Hotmix University Plant Training Sessions
Each year during January and February, Hotmix University offers two different types of professional training sessions, the Managers Exchange and the Operators Course
Both sessions have been thoughtfully crafted by industry experts and veterans to provide asphalt professionals with the knowledge and expertise to operate and manage asphalt plants safely and efficiently. Further, both are updated every year so you only receive the most current information on industry changes and trends.
Our program also offers an excellent opportunity to build network connections with other industry professionals during our workshops and nightly outings.
Registration opens at the beginning of Fall and fills up fast, so mark your calendars if you are interested in attending!
Managers Exchange Overview
Plant managers, superintendents and owners have the big picture in mind.
We will help you get the best from your plants: the highest efficiency and the most profits, safely.
Our Hotmix University Managers Exchange features a number of specialists with 15, 25, and even 40 years of experience in owning and operating plants, designing and servicing plant components, and managing entire production facilities.

Training Sessions for Plant Managers
Plant Managers are interested in making their plants run better yet they also want to reinforce how to run their plants more profitably (the business perspective); the “why’s” and not just the “how’s.”
So our Managers Exchange will include some business-focused sessions including “Operations Overview” and “ROI” (Return on Investment).
Participants in the managers exchange will also participate in tours of our manufacturing facilities but the majority of their learning will be gained from interacting with our presenters and fellow participants in our Training & Technology Center and evening venues, as a valuable component of this exchange is the time spent learning from and sharing knowledge with industry peers from across North America.

Plant Operators Course Overview
Plant Operators will learn how to run their plants more efficiently, reliably and safely.
Our Hotmix University Operators Course features common sense techniques taught by acknowledged asphalt industry leaders, most of whom have helped to design, build, install, and run successful hot mix asphalt plants throughout North America.

Training Sessions for Plant Operators
Plant Operators will invest half of their course time at our manufacturing facilities around various equipment, components and parts for interactive demonstrations and education.
The other half of the course time will be invested in learning via classroom-style presentations and peer discussions in our Training & Technology Center.
Operator Training Highlights:
- Learn about how the hot mix asphalt plant fits into the entire business operation, including the management of aggregates, liquid A.C., paving and quality control
